When My Best Friend’s Wedding came out, I was intrigued by the opening scene when Julia Roberts, a food critic, is carefully inspecting and commenting on the dishes at a high-end restaurant while the chef sweats in the background in intense anticipation of her reaction.
The following day, I offered myself as the residential restaurant reviewer to my high school newsletter editor. Although that was a short-lived stint, it propelled my life-long passion to learn, make and share my love of food.
Food is the universal language that brings people together,
When you’re sick and your mom makes chicken noodle soup, that’s love.
When your significant other wine and dine you, that’s happiness.
When you’re open to try and understand a foreign dish, that’s compassion.
